Welcome to our new and returning families! We are very excited to begin a new school year! Over the summer several renovation projects were completed. We have new flooring in our downstairs entryway and in the downstairs classrooms, work has begun on the primary playground and outdoor learning space, and we will soon have a new marquee on the front of the building! In addition, FHM will open new primary and upper elementary classrooms this year.  Our amazing school staff and community have worked hard this summer to get everything ready in time for the start of the school year.

We have several events coming up soon, so watch this page and our CSN Facebook page for more details! Coming in September, we will be having our first Grub Club of the year and the first of our three big fundrasiers, the Fox Trot Fun Run.

We wish everyone a good start to the school year and look forward to meeting you at a school community event soon!

Thank You for an Awesome 2017 Fox Trot Fun Run!

by Rachel Hernandez, Fun Run Coordinator

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the Fox Trot a success! The volunteers who did everything from setting up the running area to playing Ferdinand Fox; the parents who came to watch and cheer on the kids; the teachers who took time out of their day to bring their students to the field, encouraging them and, in some cases, even running with them! I was so impressed with how energetic and enthusiastic our kids were, too! I witnessed many moments of support and kindness amongst the kids, and that is one of the things I love so much about FHM.

Now it is time to recognize our kids’ achievement by making sure we get our pledges collected. All money raised goes directly to the school and directly to benefit our children. Even though, the Fun Run is over, you can still ask for pledges. Did you not get around to asking Aunt Myrtle before the run? Is there a business you frequent that is civic-minded and might want to make a donation? Do you work for a small business and feel comfortable approaching them for a donation?

Pledge sheets and donations are due by our new deadline of October 16th!  Make checks payable to: FHMF.  Place pledge sheet and funds collected in an envelope with the words FUNRUN and student’s name written on the envelope.  Please, place this in the CSN mailbox in the school lobby.

Funds collected are used to determine what prizes the students earned.  Here is this year’s prize poster.
